Connection Error!

Heynow. It's a home blog of a review of the day. Oh boy, my work computer's monitor just suddenly went blank. Power was still connected but I couldn't see anything. I was just working on something and it goes black. It all started at around 9:00AM. After about two hours of trying to fix it, my boss called his tech friend, Jim. He came over and looked at it and said "Let me take it to the shop and see what I can do." So he took it back and I had nothing to do. He later called and knew the problem "Your power supply is shot." So my boss and Jim went to a computer sales place a few blocks away from the office. They got it, Jim put it in and it worked. At 3:30PM my computer was working again and I made sure to back-up everything I have been working on lately. But within all those hours of the problem and the solution, I had to listen to my boss bitch about computers and how they are worthless. I wish I would have argued the point that they are useful but I didn't and just laughed and nodded my head. His solution to everything that he can't use is to throw it in the creek/river. But sometimes that's a good thing because Jim pointed out that these computers are over 6 years old. So he showed my boss a few new computers on the internet and told him what they could do better than the ones we have and with a great price. So I thought to myself "Yes! Hopefully he'll get an awesome computer and I might get the "old" one. My personal computer is a laptop. The battery is bad so I have to have it charged and the life of the battery is like twenty minutes now. I checked on eBay and I could get one for about $30 but I don't really go anywhere with my laptop so I'm fine. If I ask my boss for the computer, he might actually give it to me because I think I'ma good employee. I do everything he asks once, I'm on time, I get things done early/right. Yes I procrastinate but that's for me do actually do something when there's no time limit. If it needs to be done, I do it. If I have time, I'll do it but I'll goof off a little.
Anyway, I didn't really have to have anything done today so the computer thing today was okay. Problem in the morning, solution in the afternoon. While Jim had the computer I read some articles in two "Architectural Record" magazines. I read about two cool articles but when I read the "thrice" [ ;) Conan joke] article, my eyes started to get heavy. I was sitting on the couch, very close to my boss in his office. I could hear him too, he was reading a book too (which happens a lot). He often falls asleep too. So I sat on the couch and began to doze off a little. After a few minutes, my head began to hurt and I stopped. I walked around for a while until Jim came back in with the fixed computer. He hooked it back up and started the conversation about new computers. After that conversion, they went to my bosses office to talk some more. I backed-up my work and sent an email. Jim left and soon my boss followed. I soon enough followed too but then I remembered that I needed to go grocery shopping. I ended up at Wal-Mart at 4:20PM on a Friday. It actually wasn't that busy and crowded which was nice for a change. I got all my stuff and started my course home. Since I've been home, I've cleaned and made dinner.
I think I'll go up to my parents tomorrow and surprise them. I've haven't seen them in about three or four weeks. Hopefully I can deliver my paintings and get some money. I always feel like I'm broke. Which is good and bad I guess. If you're not broke its great but you still feel like you have no money and you still fell like crap for being broke. I think I need to cut coupon's now to save money. Anyway, that was my day today.
Last night, I was trying to learn the piano intro to "Nineteen Hundred & Eighty Five" by Paul McCartney and I couldn't quite get the timing right. I'll try and practice a little tomorrow. Actually when I was driving home today, I thought about playing drums again but I couldn't. I thought about having a home in Middlesboro and playing in a room where my drum set was and I could play as loud as I can without any reaction from the neighbors. I do miss playing drums. Actually playing any music really loud. Maybe when my contract is up this end of summer, I'll look for a house to rent around my job and have a music room. Rent would be lower than my rent now, my neighbors would be cool and a little far (because of noise), and I would be extremely happy there. I can only dream now. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Did I just blow your mind? My life is exciting, later.

Repairing Truck Parts

Heynow. It's 11:02AM and I am really tired and hungry. Tonight the weather will be really bad. From snow to sleet to freezing rain. So tomorrow, I might not be at work, on pay day. That would really suck. Should I give my boss my time sheet? My eyes are heavy and I just want to sleep in my chair but I want to eat some lunch too. I packed a PB&J sandwich, two bags of baked chips, and two granola bars. Yesterday, I did go grocery shopping and got some food. I broke my third door handle (because of the frozen door situation) so I'm going to look online and find the part to replace it. I found the part and it's only $12.69. It's now 12:02PM and just finished lunch and I'm still hungry. Really, I have one meal a day and it's lunch. Example: Yesterday all I had for dinner was a small mac n cheese bowl and I barely finished that. I usual have no breakfast, I have a good lunch and then for dinner I don't eat much. I've got some weird eating patterns and sleeping patterns. Last night I was wide awake at 11:45PM walking around my apartment and playing the ukulele. When I saw the clock I changed into my bed clothes and went to bed. I was wired that night and couldn't sleep. I think I'll turn in my time sheet and see if I can cash in my check to pay my truck payment, it's due tomorrow.  Anyway, I bought the door handle part so I'll be fixing that when I get it. I'll probably get my dad to help and to assist me. Ugh. It's boring here. Nothing exciting at all happening. Last night I did enter a "Google TV" YouTube video entry but my video is not in their video gallery section on their page. What does that mean? Is mine not selected? Is my video violating the rules? Is mine got going through? Or is it simply that my video is not right? I don't know. I might make another video for them. I've seen the videos on the gallery and it's just people saying that they want one. They're not saying what they like about it, which is what the video is supposed to be about. I don't know, it seems that I'm saying it's not fair and I don't want to be that person. I'll make another video. Okay, that's it for me today. My life is exciting, later.

My DBF / Columbus Weekend

Heynow. I'm really sleepy this morning. While I was taking a shower, I was falling asleep and I was shampooing my hair. I was slipping into R.E.M. while standing and moving my hands on my head, it was relaxing. I'm still sleepy at work. My weekend was actually pretty good.
Friday: I got off work early, which happens quite often on Friday's and I like it. I went to Wal-Mart to finally get an eye exam. The exam costs $51. So if I was fine that was $51 of assurance. But as it turns out I do need glasses. I have an astigmatism in both my eyes; my right eye is worse than my left. I should get my glasses on Friday (10/15). Apparently, the frames are really expensive. The one I picked out was $118. I just thought that the frames I picked was all the same price but I was wrong to assume that. I asked the guy if I can bring in some frames to see if they can put in the lenses and he said "Yeah, just bring in the frames and we can put them in for $10, not including the lenses." I replied "Great, the frames I have cost $10." I'm a cheap person. I guess that's why I don't have a credit card and not in debt. I don't want to be in debt ever. I'm guessing if I got a girlfriend, I'd be in a little debt but it would be worth it. I do need to get some sort of credit card and get great credit. that evening, I had to drive to Mom and Dad's to dog sit. They were there that night and was going to leave in the morning. I went to the Daniel Boone Festival for a few minutes and saw Dave for a few seconds, then left and saw Casey and Ashley for a while. After that, went back to my parents and went to bed.
Saturday: Woke up, mom and dad left to goto Pennsylvania to see my dad's sister, and I was alone with the dog. I was laying around until I took some paintings to Ashley's furniture booth at the Arts & Crafts section at DBF. I hung out with Ashley, her mom, and dad almost all day at the booth. I sold my Dwight Schrute painting for $20, so that was awesome. They also sold a bunch of items at their booth. Later on that day, I saw an old elementary friend. She bought a painting from Ashley's sister. I was thinking about asking her out but my anxiety came in and I choked. I might still ask her out on the phone (if I had her number) or message her on Facebook (but does it seem weird to message someone, asking him/her out to a date?). Then again I had an ex-girlfriend that was friends with her so it might be weird. Actually the ex and I are still friendly so I don't know. If she is reading this "Hey, do you wanna go out sometime? Go see a movie, dinner, on a walk, and to catch up on each others lives." That night, my friend Chris came over and we hung out all night. We played music, talked man to man, and laughed; it was a great time. I need to hang out with him more often.
Sunday: I woke up at 1 o'clock groggy and watched football all day. Belle the dog, was not moving a lot that day because Chris was playing with her last night and she is almost 14 years old. When I noticed that she wasn't moving, it made me realize that she probably doesn't have much longer to live. Just that thought made me sad to see her go too soon. She is a wonderful dog and a member of the Smith family. Sunday night, I went to Casey's house and hung out with him and Molly, while watching Sunday Night Football. When Mollie and I were chatting through Facebook (sitting 10 feet from each other), Casey was snoring in his chair. We were debating who would wake him up. I did but I'm guessing he went back to sleep. When I woke him up, I was leaving to go to my parents house to spend another night there.
Monday (Columbus Day): Woke up fell out of bed, dragged a comb through my head (Beatles reference). I really didn't do anything that day. I was just lazy and was either in front of the TV or computer. I did do some little things like laundry, clean the house a little, and learned a few songs on acoustic guitar. Mom and Dad was going to be home around 7pm. I left the house around 6 pm to deliver a painting to Mom's friend ($30 but gave me two extra dollars) from work, then went to my apartment. I did make a pit stop to get some more canvas's at Big Lots. When I finally got home I was really relieved to just be home. I just listened to music and relaxed until brushing my teeth then bedtime. I guess that's it for today. Later.
